After our first trip to the playground this year, the one where I sent my sweet girl to play for hours in mulch….wearing sandals, I realized that we needed to get her some durable shoes she can play outside in. We’re set on cute sandals and shoes for her to wear out and about running errands, to church, or to someone’s house. But for running, walking, playing in grass and mulch, she needed something much more heavy duty.
So, behold, Abigail’s new tennis shoes. I LOVE THEM!
|Do you realize how challenging it is to photograph a shoe while it is on your toddlers foot?|
|It is nearly impossible.|

When I am reminded how much they charge for baby shoes I seriously almost fall off my computer chair. If I ever paid 46 dollars for a pair of shoes I seriously think Jim would have me committed.
Babysteals.com ran a Stride Rite sale a week or two ago and I snagged these bad boys for 50% off. Truthfully, it’s still more than I like to pay for Abigail’s shoes. I try to keep it down to the $10 range, but I figured they needed to be high quality, durable, and flexible enough for her feet since she is still a newbie at this walking business.
The day they came in the mail she immediately tore them out of the box, begged for me to put them on, and she proceeded to wear them around the house the rest of the night. Oh, and she carried around the box they came in as well. So cute.
Tonight, Abigail came up to me with a hair bow and asked for me to put it in her hair. She wore it the rest of the evening. I feel like we have arrived. My little girl loves shoes and hair bows. YES.
