As you can see, this little lady basically has zero personality. Oh my.
I really wanted to get a few pictures of her on her very last night as a two year old.
Her sweet face, her smile, the way her hair hangs fresh from a bath, all of her current favorite friends in bed with her, snuggling her favorite of all- the seahorse.
All absolutely precious to her moments that I wanted to capture on this very special night.
I asked her if she knew what tomorrow was. “MY birthday!!” she exclaimed. So I said, “Hey, should we do something special tomorrow? If you could have ANY lunch, what would you pick?” She said without skipping a beat, “String cheese and a peanut butter and honey sammmwich!” I laughed and said, “but that is what you eat for lunch almost every day!”
Before bed, Daddy was going to pray but she asked, could we sing our prayer instead? So we said sure! Let’s sing the doxology. Abigail says, “No, I want to sing Happy Birthday!” We laughed again and Jim told her that while that’s a great song, it doesn’t really qualify as a prayer.
Her Grammy came in and laid down with her and they read a Pooh Bear Cookbook(yes, it’s random) together.
The lights turned off. The seahorse and octopus turned on. The door closed.
