One Of The Top 10 Best Things I Brought To My Marriage: The Best Seven Layer Dip
February 3, 2014
The Best Seven layer dip.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Jim has a running list of the “top 10 things Courtney brought to our marriage” You know, things like my car, my savings account, chicken noodles, and the best seven layer dip.
So sorry that the Super Bowl was yesterday and you didn’t have this recipe to take to your own party, but truthfully, you don’t need a party to make this stuff.
You’ll eat it all by yourself.
Ingredients for the Best Seven Layer Dip:
Chips {obvs}
Bag of shredded cheese
Green onions
Tomato
Two cans of bean dip (one hot, one regular)
Sour cream
Taco seasoning packet
Guacamole
Directions:
*Seven layer dip tip* Spread this in a cookie sheet. It makes the ratio of all of the ingredients absolutely perfect. We don’t like thick dip in this house, no siree.
Spread out the refried beans
Then the guacamole
Then the sour cream mixed with the taco seasoning packet
Sprinkle on the onions and tomato
Add a heaping mound of shredded cheese
And BOOM, the best seven layer dip you’ll ever eat in your whole life.
I make this almost exactly, except I mix cream cheese with the sour cream & taco seasoning! Cream cheese makes everything better 😉 And much more unhealthy.
This looks really good and simple to make. My husband is obviously a football fan, so he’ll occasionally invite some of his friends over and I tend to find myself going through Pinterest for easy appetizer ideas. This is awesome. Love it. Thanks!
I’d leave put the processed bean dip and make as natural as possible. Use organic ground beef or make bead dip from organic pinto beans. Just use your food processor and add some jalapenos for some heat since your using one hot bean dip.
Mine is a half sheet pan! So, 18×13? The main point is to put it in something that you can spread pretty thinly, so you can easily get ALL of the layers onto your chips. Hope that helps!
Holy yum! If I hadn't just made my run to the store, Ingredients to make this would have been on my list. Lol
Aw bummer! Go back! haha
