We’re finally hitting mid 80’s weather here in Southwest Missouri. Yippee!
We had some friends invite us to a local splash pad/park this morning and we gladly accepted. In some ways it feels like we really haven’t even gotten to enjoy playing outside yet. It was cold, then rainy, then cold, then HOT, then stormy…..and now here we are. Finally getting to play outside on a beautiful day!
I let Abigail choose which swimsuit she wanted to wear this morning. Prepare to be shocked!
Polka dots! I couldn’t believe it!
To other photographers I’m sure this is no big deal, but to me, I keep being blown away and shocked by how my fast shutter speed captures the water droplets.
I love, love, love this picture of her face. This picture captured a look that I see frequently. Whenever I let Abigail run off to play like a big kid, I’m constantly seeing this little face look over at me. It simultaneously says, “Is what I’m doing right now okay, Mama?” and “Mama, are you watching me and seeing how big I am?” I love that I captured it on camera and I love even more that it is a face specially reserved for me.
After we played at the splash pad we stopped for a picnic lunch in the park shelter. After we filled our bellies with PB sandwiches, veggies, and fruit it was off to play at the park! In our swimsuits! Oh happy toddler day!
I asked her if I could take a picture of her smiling face. To which she politely replied, “You can take a picture of my back instead”
Oh I just love this sweet face. I love my sweet girl.
