Now that fall is 100% officially upon us, I thought it would be a good time to be mildly reflective on what a wonderful summer we had in the Spena house. Our summer months were filled with all of the best things that come from heat, sun, and mostly empty calendars.
In May, Abigail turned three and a half. We don’t celebrate half birthdays, but I still think they are something cool to take notice of 🙂
We flew kites.
And went to a COLD Royals game!
Bounced on the trampoline
Roasted and ate smores
Rode the rides at Carousel Park
And spent lots and lots of time at the many playgrounds around Joplin
We had many a hot dog and slush Sonic date
And attended our first bridal shower together
Nights at our neighborhood park
And days and days spent playing in our hose
In her favorite polka dot swimsuit!
Trips were made to Silver Dollar City
And Abigail learned how to fish a little with her Grandpa
She slept through her future Aunt’s entire bridal shower…..
But not before eating a cupcake first
She was a flower girl three times!
She got her very first big girl bicycle and learned how to ride it!
She took two weeks of swimming lessons and finally learned to be brave enough to go under water!
Sunday afternoons watching Daddy play baseball
And an amazing sleepover with our very bestest friends
We wrapped up our summer with an amazing family vacation to Destin, FL. Filled with family, relaxation, and so much fun.
