Boy oh boy, Grammy had her own seahorse at her house. So this little addict carried around TWO seahorses her entire visit. Please, don’t pay too much attention to how absolutely skanky her own seahorse is. *shudder*
She’s sprinkling on the powdered sugar snow with a sifter. Genius idea, so glad it wasn’t at my house 😉
They also went to the zoo a few times. My parents have season passes to the Phoenix zoo and they love walking around. It’s just a super extra bonus to get to take their grand daughter with them!
She was brave enough to ride this camel all by herself and she legit thought she was like the Queen of Egypt or something afterwards. She talked about it endlessly. Look at that face! She was thrilled!
My Mimi(Abigail’s great grandma) flew in to spend a few days in Phoenix with Abigail while she was visiting. I mean, THREE grandparents to spoil just the ONE of you? That’s luxury living, folks.
And then this happened. DUN DUN DUN. All of the fun was too good to be true. Abigail earned her first trip to urgent care this year while in Phoenix. She was vomiting, diarrhea, and broke out in a rash all over her body. She never had a fever, but the rash concerned me a lot since I’d never seen that before. She ended up with a dx of fifth’s disease and was sent home with an “it’ll run it’s course” treatment plan.
Luckily, after a day or two she was back to her normal and happy self.
This girl really loved letting Grammy style and braid her hair. She was FANCY while Mom was gone 🙂
Of course, they baked snickerdoodle cookies. And of course, she got to lick the batter.
Of “superhero bear”. Who she insisted needed to be wearing a purple dress. Y’all, she doesn’t even know who superman is or what he does. But she saw that bear and there was zero swaying her from it. She’s a little lady who knows what she wants, and fortunately, doesn’t regret her decisions 🙂
Afterwards, they had lunch together at the train park and enjoyed a beautiful Arizona December day!
And then we were back! We finished off our visit with an evening trip to zoo lights with Grammy and Pappy, and also Jim’s sister and her family.
We so enjoyed our trip, it was absolutely a once in a lifetime experience(for me, probably), we’re SO so thankful that my parents were so happy and willing to watch Abigail for us the entire time we were gone. They never complained, they never stressed, and they took such amazing care of our little girl.
Jim and I have talked about how while we really enjoy traveling together and seeing new things, the trip itself doesn’t stir up any great wanderlust within us. It mostly just helps us realize how much we love our home and how happy we are to return to it. So yeah, super glad to be back in Missouri 🙂
