I waited a bit and then I snuck down to where they were getting started on their class to snap a few pictures of Abigail doing her skiing thing.
Bless it, y’all.
There have been a few times in her short little life that I have just wanted to scoop her up into my arms and tell her I’m so sorry for what she has inherited from me.
Her athletic abilities that she inherited from me instead of daddy? Basically top the list.
She spent most of the class back and slower than the group….and usually going the wrong way…..and falling down.
First their instructor(which BTW, God bless this man, am I right? Teaching three small children to ski for the very first time, first thing in the morning- it was basically my worst nightmare the idea of it. So, yeah. God bless you, Wiley the instructor) had them wear one ski and do a lap around to get accustomed a bit. Then they added the second ski.
She might have been struggling all through class, but at least she looked super cute doing it. Silver lining?
I peeked back out there from the balcony(per earlier suggestion) and could see Abigail playing in the snow sans skis and eating it. It was kind of like a winter version of her picking flowers in the middle of a soccer game. I almost managed to get a video of her skiing down the “hill” with her instructor and then another small video of her “walking” in her skies after he left her at the bottom of the “hill” and she spotted me on the balcony.
