Baby Items I Didn’t Have The First Time {Wish List}

  1. hello erin says:

I think the rock n play is the best invention EVER. And rumor has it the new ones have a vibration thing on them. Which makes you lucky for ditching your old one! We're still old school over here and I'm jealous of the new ones! Also the solly. My fav baby purchase evah. I may have gotten the orchid as a second wrap because I use it SO MUCH!

  2. Kelly Mock says:

Oh yes! The rock and play! We used that until Hallie moved to her crib and when we traveled! So much easier than the pack and play!! Loved it!!

  3. Jess Beer says:

I cannot say enough good things about the white noise machine – MAGIC. We have a munchkin one that also has a projector that we used some when Abbie was little – I can look for the link if you'd like but you can probably find it on amazon pretty easily.

The solly wrap is SO on my list for number two. We have an ergo but didn't use it much because Abbie was so independent. If you want, I'm happy to have you borrow it once you need it since I probably won't need it again for a while – it's in great condition and it's gray, so Jim wouldn't be forced into the girly-ness with it ๐Ÿ™‚

I can't tell you how many times during sleep training I wished for a video monitor so I could see what Abbie was doing – that's also on my list for when we get to baby two!

  4. We use a sound machine with Liam, and I definitely think it helps prevent some wake ups due to noise! Also, the ergo is a great option for baby wearing, but it's just the "big name" that is out there right now. Tula makes a similar carrier but has more padding in the shoulders; I like it better. Also look into ring slings! I'm a bit obsessed with baby wearing and carriers so feel free to pick my brain! We are a stroller free family! I wore Liam until he was 2 and now he just walks everywhere!

  5. Love your list! A solly wrap is on my list for next baby too ๐Ÿ™‚ That boon suds washer looks awesome! We used some of those swaddleme wraps with Reese and they were so nice! Definitely easier than using a blanket.

  6. Love this list! I ordered a solly too! And I can't say enough good things about the motorolla video baby monitor. We have two now and love them!

  7. Jess Scott says:

This is identical to my list!! We have used a noise machine with Cam, from the start, so we will be getting another one for Louise to block out any toddler noise! ๐Ÿ˜‰ The Solly has gotten RAVE reviews – I can't wait to get mine! The Rock and Play was a LIFE SAVER for us, AND, the video monitor was something we didn't have for the first year, but when ours broke, we got a video one, and I am SO happy. I need to get a second cameron for Louise's nursery, though…

  8. SOLLY DOLLY?!! Omg. My heart is melting. Perfect big sissy gift! xx

  9. Leslie says:

Great list! The Rock N Play, noise machine, and video monitor were all on my must have list – we couldn't have gotten by without them! Swaddlers too, but my little one always managed to "break out" of the velcro ones – so we got the Summer Infant Swaddle Pods with zippers.

I love Boon products – I definitely need to check out that bottle washer whenever baby #2 comes along. Washing bottles was my least favorite thing for sure.

  10. Kristen says:

i have heard amazing things about the rock n play, it's on every single list!

  11. We LOVED the rock & play and Olive slept great there for months before we moved her to her crib. We traveled with it and moved it around the house for naps. We have also really enjoyed the Ergo. I initially had a different carrier and should have just gone with the Ergo the whole time. We LOVE our video baby monitor – super affordable and we've been really happy with it What are your stroller plans? Those are always an investment and I've been researching some good toddler strollers. Found a fun diaper bag yet? Mabel is going to be here before we know it ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. Hannah says:

I like your list! There are a few things on here I've been thinking about adding to my own list. We did use the rock n play sleeper with Emerson and I loved it. Someone gave it to us, and I'm so glad they did! Though, I'm not sure what we'll use once baby learns how to roll and sit… a pack n play? We were given a video monitor for Christmas and we love it!! It is amazing, it's Summer brand too, I hope you get one and love it just as much! And I hope you get the rest of these fun things!

  13. Tanika Rice says:

Aiden & Anais muslin bamboo swaddles. They are different from the rest of their swaddlers. They are SUPER light weight and VERY stretchy. PERFECT for swaddling in the summer or for when you just want something light on them. I love love love ours and I gift them at every shower I go to.

  14. Becky Goerend says:

I loved the Rock and Play with Wesley. We didn't use it at night, but used it during the day for naps. It was great. The Ergo is awesome, too! We used the swaddlemes with both boys, such a life saver! We have a white noise app on all our devices (ipods, iphones, ipads) so we use those instead of buying a machine.

  15. Jessica says:

I ordered a Solly wrap (which I am super excited about), but we also got the Ergo 360. From what everyone told me, the 360 – though a bit pricier – is worth the extra money because baby can face out in it instead of just in. So, as babies get older, they still enjoy being in the carrier as long as they can see out:) Might be worth looking into for Mabel if you guys definitely want an Ergo:) And good call on the white noise machine. I definitely think we'll need one of those with my loudmouth little man running around – I hadn't even thought of that!:)

  16. I still wear Ellie in my Solly. So they last a while….and I am so jealous that Boon contacted you! I want a sponsor like that! Ha

  17. We have a white noise machine too that we used all the time. We got the sleep sheep version though. I never baby wore Mason but I wish I did so that was definitely a good purchase! Something we had was a puj tub to wash Mason in the sink in and we LOVED it! Highly recommend. Also highly recommend the Nose Frieda. It's a disgusting concept but works SO well (make Jim use it! I make Seth do it lol). The nose suckers from the hospital just don't cut it and this one you suck the buggers out (sounds more gross than it is, there is a bugger catcher!) and works SO WELL.

  18. Totally pinned this for when I'm preggo someday!

  19. You absolutely need the Ergo and the Rock and Play!!! I used a Moby (similar to the Solly Baby Wrap) for the newborn days, but switched to the Ergo when Liam was 3 months old. I can't say enough good things about it! We loved swaddle wraps, but I HIGHLY recommend swaddle pods by Summer Infant. They just zip over the baby and their arms can't escape!

  20. Logan Cantrell says:

The Ergo is on my list. I'm still trying to decide if I need a Solly wrap also or if the ergo will be enough. Decisions decisions…
