March 30, 2015
It has been a hot minute since I’ve done some dirty laundry airing on the blog so I thought today would be a good day to unload.
All The Eggs All The Time
We don’t do fancy meals at Casa De Spena. Maybe it’s lazy, but I find it pretty easy to toss together a well rounded meal without much fuss. My #1 favorite food item is eggs. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If I need to whip up something quick the question isn’t “what are we eating?” the question is, “fried, boiled, or scrambled?” Toss some fruit, raw veggies, nuts, and yogurt on a plate and we’re good to go.
You Probably Don’t Want To Just Drop By
If you were to just stop by our house in the middle of the day, the chances are very high that Abigail will only be in her panties and I will be in my pajama’s. I know a lot of people believe in the slogan, “look good, feel good” but I believe in the slogan, “look comfy, feel even comfier”
Abigail Knows How To Use All Of Our Technology
One of the funniest things Abigail loves to do is send text messages. She knows how to pull up on my ipad and iphone my text messages. She sends emoji texts to all of her grandparents and aunts and uncles. If you ever receive a text with approximately 50 moons and 30 donuts, just know that it is Abigail and not me.
I Don’t Correct All Of Her Words
Abigail is actually super verbal and well spoken for a 4 year old, but there are a few words that she totally pronounces incorrectly and I just don’t want to correct them yet. Skabetti(spaghetti) and bankellet(blanket) are two of my most favorites. Tink(think) and Free(three) are a couple others.
I Listen To Any Kind Of Music In The Car
Never has there ever been a day EVER that we have listened to kiddie music. I always just listen to whatever music I want to listen to, obviously no swearing, but otherwise, we listen to it. She has started asking me whenever a pop song comes on in the car, “Mom, is this Lady Gaga?”
Sometimes We Don’t Go Anywhere….For Days
I try to plan things for us to do during the week but sometimes they get canceled or they aren’t year round or they don’t fill every day of the week. It takes us 20ish minutes to get into town so if there isn’t anything we need to do, we just stay home and do pretty much nothing all day. As Ron Burgundy says, “it’s boring, but it’s part of my life.”
I’ve Planned, Put Together, And Executed Craft Time Approximately Zero Times
Little girl doesn’t like crafts. I don’t like spending money on craft supplies that won’t get used. Let’s just read some books instead, mmkay?
So let’s hear it! What are some of your Mom confessions?
