Happy Friday! May you enjoy your weekend as much as a certain little girl loves sweet tea!
No, but really. I’m still cracking up over the time we were in Disney Land and she requested a sweet tea with her dinner. Our poor waitress wasn’t sure what to make of that! We never have anything but water or milk to drink in our house, so when sweet tea becomes available that little Abigail pounces right on it.
Looky looky what finally came in the mail! Somehow an extra car seat base and our snap n go stroller frame escaped the great baby gear purge of a few years ago(I think they were pushed back in the attic) so I just needed to get the same sort of seat Abigail used so we could keep using what we already had. One quick click on Amazon and the seat was here a few days later!
And for those of you who might have been concerned, it is now officially installed and ready and waiting for a little miss to fill it any day in the back of the mini van!
This teenager. I mean, what is this grown up looking situation?! I shall have none of it.
Usually at least once a week we take a trip to a local park here in town and Jim plays some baseball with a friend from work and church. Abigail takes the opportunity to play on the playground. I take the opportunity to go out for ice cream afterwards.
Anyway, Jim has been teaching her to throw a baseball properly. It’s taken some serious Daddy dedication but I think her form is coming along. It’s better than mine at least!
After changing out light fixtures in our kitchen remodel and discovering how relatively easy it is, I’ve now been on a quest to get Jim to change out just about every light in our house. Specifically, as I call them, the “boob lights”. You know those builder grade lights that look like….well, boobs? Anyway, he has already changed out the one in Mabel’s room for a new ceiling fan, two in the hallway, and now a new fan in Abigail’s room instead.
Of course, we went to Lowe’s and he decided to let her pick her own fan. (Whyyyy???) Luckily it was on clearance, and I’ll spare you the saga of how it took a long time to get/return/acquire again but it’s installed now and she is thrilled with it and there you have it.
It has been a good mail week! Car seats, baby clothes, rocking chair attachments, and an Influenster box filled with all sorts of fun goodies to try!
And that about covers it! Could this be our last single kiddo weekend? Will this week be baby week? I don’t know! We shall see 🙂
