There is a tiny restaurant in the small town that Jim(and his Dad!) grew up in that is a super special treat when we have a chance to make it over there to eat. It’s called Peculiar Drive-In(PDI). They accept only cash or check, have limited days and hours of operation, have only a few spaces for eating inside, and have been around for ages.
Monty was telling us about how he used to walk to PDI for 10 cent ice cream cones from the hardware store(Jim’s Grandpa owned the town hardware store for years) as a little boy. So of course, it was really fun to get to take Abigail there for lunch!
Jim unraveled what is possibly the longest Suzy Q fry in the history of ever and he and Abigail ate it Lady and the Tramp style. Hilarious.
My cone was a “small” haha. Also, they had TMZ playing on the tv behind us. Which, is wonderful diner food entertainment lol! After we consumed all of our fries, burgers, and ice cream it was time to head right back to Grandma Jenny and Grandpa Monty’s for more fun and playing!
Do you have a diner/drive in where you live?
