Happy Thursday! I’m here and ready for an all new weekly confesh sesh.
+ I had planned to do a home related post yesterday and completely missed the boat. I could blame my parents being here….or having two sick kids…but, what I actually blame is house related posts being really freakin hard to plan and write! Finding photos, taking photos, citing sources…plus, I’m no decor master- I feel like I’m treading water over here trying to make decor plans for this house. So, while I hope to blog more about the house– I have tons and tons of home related posts sitting in my drafts folder, but every time I try to write one…it’s crickets.
+ Something I think you should know about me. I’m a solid type B person, but am actually really tidy. Our pastor once described my decor style as “clean”, lol. But, one thing that revolts my poor husband and I can’t seem to ever change about myself is how absolutely disgusting I let my bathroom sink get. Like, I don’t even care.
Jim came home from a business trip once and was like “Well, I’ve obviously been out of town all week because this sick is disgusting” Apparently the guy cleans it out every time he uses it because I leave it all filled with toothpaste and other things.
+ Akin to my Beauty and the Beast confession last time, I always had a crush on Simba. Which was confusing, because…lion? But the New Girl made me feel better about it because while Jess and I have approximately 0% in common, we both get the Simba thing.
+ To say I’m not much of a phone person might be the understatement of the century, but the truth is, I LOATHE making phone calls. I don’t mind calling friends so much, and I talk to my Mom on the phone pretty often, but things like: the doctor. the dentist. any sort of insurance/repair/appointment type calls are the bane of my existence. SO. My local MOPS does this big fundraiser in the spring and it requires you to sign up for businesses to call and ask for donations.
Let me repeat.
Asking for free stuff.
It is my very own worst nightmare.
For the last few years I’ve just stopped going to Mops in the spring because I’m like heck to the no way am I doing this. But this year I just straight up told my table leader that I wasn’t going to do it. #progress
+ And lastly, this isn’t really a confession so much(maybe it is?) but I am really annoyed with the little girl swimsuit selections this year. Especially for Abigail. She is in the big girl section now (Size 6) and I want her to have a one piece, preferably with some extra fabric around her legs(think a tutu, or a little extra frills- not a full blown skirt), and regular straps. But all I’ve found so far are skinny one pieces, with cut outs(??), halter tops(??), and high cut sides. I’ve checked all of my usual places- we did not have this problem last year- and I haven’t found her a single suit that will work yet. So, if you find something(A million bonus points forever if you find a matching one for Mabel!) send me a link!
And that’s all I’ve got for today.
