Abigail’s Bedroom Makeover: The Process

  1. Amy says:

LOVE the mint doors! Can’t wait to see the final reveal!

  2. Brittany Rae says:

    Mint- pretty and FREE
I still love that house, despite all the work you get to do. Notice how I said you, but on the upside it will be stunning once complete!

  3. Stephanie says:

I love the charm and history in older homes but the remodel and work involved is something I can’t handle. Our home was built in 1924 so it has a ton of charm but lacks in other areas. I’m really looking forward to moving in a few years and I think James is on board to BUILD!

  4. What a process. Whew. Glad the tough part of that room is done and you can move on to the fun stuff – aka decorating:) Abigail’s room looks awesome, and I love the fun touch that the mint doors added. Now. On to the rest of the house!

  5. Brittany @ PerpetuallyDaydreaming says:

Love the door color! I remember my parents taking down wallpaper when I was little and it was awful!

  6. Nicole says:

I love her room!! Those built in dressers are so nice! I can’t wait to see the finished product ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Leslie says:

Love the mint doors! Subtle, but a nice little pop of color to the room! Abigail has a seriously awesome room. I wish this was my bedroom growing up!

  8. Mary says:

Dang that sounds like so much work, but I know it’ll all be worth it in the end. We have plaster walls as well, such a pain! She’s one lucky girl to have parents that are willing to work so hard on her room. Good luck with the rest of the plans.

  9. Vanessa says:

Ugh, that’s a lot of work! But holy moly, her room is so charming! The vaulted ceilings, window nooks and built-ins…love, love, love! Can’t wait to see the final reveal!!

  10. Great work!! I love the mint doors and how fresh and cheery everything turned out with your bright white paint. Can’t wait to see the decor you go with once you start pulling it all together. Also, love those built ins ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Ashley says:

Love the mint doors! Such a night and day difference!

  12. Desiree says:

Watching all the work you were doing on Snapchat was insane. Who knew removing wallpaper was such a chore?! Holy smokes.
However, it is looking amazing with the white! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for decorating that space!

  13. Rachel says:

The fresh paint makes the room look amazing!
“White Dove” is a great choice, every time ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Crystal Hall says:

Iโ€™ve loved following this project on Snap! I adore the mint doors. Thatโ€™s a beautiful color. Her room is going to be so adorable.

  15. Elise says:

What a headache but what a difference! Thank goodness for family. Love the FREE mint doors too! WOO! xx

  16. Laura Keenan says:

Ooh, so much progress has been made! My mom has been stripping wall paper at their house (thank you to the 90s for that fun trend) and their lake house. She complains about her arms aching a lot, so I can appreciate the effort.

  18. Hannah says:

Oh my goodness, what a process! I’m sure you’re so happy it’s finished! Hopefully the rest of the rooms in the house go quickly too. And I love the mint on the doors. So pretty! I’m sure her room will look adorable when it’s all finished and I can’t wait to see!

  19. Amanda says:

What a fun room for a little girl! I’m glad it wasn’t*too* terrible of a process.

  20. Jess says:

What a labor of love!!! What colors are you doing for her room? I am such a fan of white walls so you can change the decor when you want! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  21. Samantha says:

Oh man! That looks like a crazy amount of work, but I love how it’s coming together! We can’t wait to have our own space to paint and do fun stuff with. ๐Ÿ™‚

  22. Julie Joy says:

Phew! I’m tired just reading that! Great work! What a progress!

  23. Angie Agerter says:

It is such a cute room.
I”m excited to see what it looks like with everything in it. I love it though just as it is now.
