As of yesterday, we are now less than one month out from Miss Abigail’s 6th(say what?!) birthday. I officially booked the bounce house(again) for her birthday party and now her big plans have continued to grow as she dreams up her birthday party.
For instance, yesterday, we ran into some friends she had told me just that morning that she wanted to invite after we discussed having booked the bounce house. I said something like, “Hey! Abigail! You should tell them about your birthday party!” thinking she would say, “oh hey! My birthday party is going to be at the bounce house on my birthday November 5th and I want you to come!”
She just starts rattling off about how she wants to have a princess party with a princess bounce house in her backyard and everyone will wear princess dresses and she will wear her Elsa dress and that she wants a Frozen cake with snowflakes and blue frosting that says Happy Birthday Abigail on it but also with snowflakes and I was just like….where the heck did all of that come from? Just invite them to your party!
So then she let them know they could get her legos as a gift and that they could build them together.
As our neighbor mentioned to us recently, “Abigail has such a rich vocabulary!”
But, I digress.
She is a sweetness. And I really want her 6th birthday to be special.
We have spent a lot of time talking about saving money, giving to others, and putting things on wish lists for birthdays and Christmas this year and I think this is the first year that she really gets it.
So, here is a little list of some of the things she really has her heart set on!
Barbie Camper– She says she wants to be able to take her barbies camping. This camper is totally ridiculous because who actually camps in something like that? A chandelier inside?
But also, that’s basically the only way I could ever be convinced to go camping. So maybe Barbie is on to something.
Easy Bake Oven– She is 1000% convinced that she will be competing on Chopped. So this Easy Bake Oven will be the gateway to her winning $10,000 someday.
Purple Hunter Boots– She has outgrown her pink boots and is ready to upgrade to size 13’s! She says she wants purple ones- “because purple is her favorite color!”
Lil Woodzeez Treehouse– I don’t know how much she cares about the animals that come with these sets, but she saw this treehouse at Target once and thinks it would be perfect for her little people and magi clip Disney princesses to play in.
Additionally, she has also mentioned more craft supplies, like stickers, finger paints, paper for her easel, and playdoh.
So we’ll see how lucky she gets in a few weeks 🙂
