Yesterday was an exciting day for the Spena family! Jim’s little sister welcomed her baby girl, Emma, into the world yesterday morning. So the four of us had to take a quick trip up to Kansas City to meet her!
Abigail was in absolute baby heaven. I think she held her longer than I did!
Annnnd Mabel *might* have tried to hit her the first time she saw me holding her, lol. But! She warmed up quickly(as evidenced by the photo below)
We are so excited to have another girl in the family! 🙂
I have some really fun things to introduce y’all to this week + coupon codes + a giveaway!! So read on and don’t miss out on any of it! 🙂
As young children get older, they inevitably ask the age old question, “Is there really a Santa?”
In an effort to arm parents with a valid response to this innocent interrogation, Chelsea Rippy and Tyler Stenson (a brother and sister duo!) proudly released ‘There’s Certainly A Santa’, a modern children’s book and parental solution that equips Moms and Dads with the careful words needed to navigate this complicated conversation.
Abigail isn’t quite old enough for this book yet- but I’m so excited to have this on hand for in a few years when all the kids start talking and asking questions about Santa Claus. I’ve read through it and I highly recommend adding this to your collection for when the time is right to talk to your kids about the “real” Santa!
Bee Mine Sunshine contacted me recently to ask if I would be interested in trying and reviewing some of their gorgeous products! I was so excited because as I’ve shared before, I LOVE supporting Mama’s and their businesses.
Bee Mine Sunshine is run by two amazing Mama’s who believe that their products aren’t just inspired by the bond between mothers and daughters, they enhance it, embrace it and make it more memorable! Through any age, from baby to adulthood, Bee Mine Sunshine designs bring you closer and give you more opportunities to express your individuality.
Bee Mine Sunshine designs many of their own prints, so you’re truly getting a one of a kind product that you won’t find anywhere else! Their leggings feature signature elastic drawstring waistband. The waistband is an actual working drawstring, and because it is made of elastic you can tie it once to fit your little one and it will stretch to come off for outfit or diaper changes. This feature, along with the cuffed ankles that can be flipped up to shorten, make them a great fit for little ones with tricky measurements!
They also sent us these gorgeous knot headbands!
They have even more than just leggings and headbands- they also have bloomers, teething necklaces, and more! You can add some amazing pieces to your littles collection today and use the code APLUS20 for 20% off your order!
Giving Grows Jars are designed as a simple way to engage children or individuals of any age, in the act of giving!
The purpose is to give children ownership over their own giving, so they 1) decorate their jars with the included supplies 2) collect money in whatever way works for your family (i.e. found money, allowance, contributions from family & friends), and 3) choose where to give their money (donate to an organization, purchase ingredients to bake cookies for someone, etc.).
Miss Abigail was SO excited to work on her latest craft. She spent all morning getting her jar *just* right!
She told me that she wants to save her money to give to “the shoe boxes” meaning, Operation Christmas Child! That organization has already left such an impression on her little heart. I just love that. And I love that she now has her own special container to collect in!
Be sure to check out Giving Grows and get your kids involved in saving to give to others, too! You can use the code GIVE2016 to receive 15% off of all orders through the 7th!
I have shared about BookRoo on the blog before!
Bookroo‘s mission is to help kids fall in love with reading. As part of that, they send a monthly box of board or picture books, each individually wrapped! We chose to receive picture books, but you have the option of alternating between board and picture books each month if you want! We received two adorable picture books- Edmund Unravels and Catch That Cookie.
If you’re looking for a unique way to give the gift of reading to someone this Christmas, definitely check out Bookroo! Such a fun concept and a really great way to get new books into the hands of young readers.
Be sure to use the code, “AbigMabe” to save $10 on your order!
Lastly, don’t forget to enter in my $250 Minted giveaway! You can enter in this post. It runs until midnight on 12/6!
Have a wonderful weekend, lovelies!
