January 27, 2017
Happy Friday! We’re thrilled to see the arrival of the weekend over here at the Spena casa- I’m sure it’s the same where you’re at!
I’ve shared most of these over on Instagram already, but I always like to share things over here on the blog too in case you missed it earlier, or so I can share more than just the one picture I post on IG 🙂
I shared our house goals for 2017 earlier this week and what do you know, Jim has already checked something off of the list!
The last two weeks he has scraped out the old paint from inside our cabinets, cleaned them out, cleaned the cabinet doors, and repainted the inside with a fresh new coat of paint.
I had him use the same paint that we have in our pantry area- so now everything is coordinated!
(Old picture, obviously! You can kind of see the old yellow paint in the cabinet above the microwave though!)
I still have my sights set on floating shelves someday, but that is moved wayyyyyy down to the bottom of the priority list now that these cabinets have been freshened up!
I got to try Freshly meals for the first time this week and they were SO, so good. I’m the worst at feeding myself a nutritious lunch and Freshly totally fit the bill for me. I tried the Southwest Veggie Bowl(pictured here and my hands down favorite- SOOOO good!), the Quinoa Porridge, Penne Bolognese, and the Three Bean Ancho Turkey Chili.
If you visit their Instagram page, you can order 6 meals for $49 through the link in their profile!
The lovely Mable contacted me to ask if I would like to choose something from her shop for our home. You know I was instantly committed because how often do you get to work with someone named Mable?!! Loved it.
I instantly fell in love with this print and knew it would be just perfect in Mabel’s nursery. And I was right!
She is also offering 15% off to all A + Life readers with the code PLUSLIFE15 good on anything in her shop!
I laughed to myself as I was taking these pictures because I remember years ago taking photos of Abigail playing with play doh for the very first time and being shocked at how capable I was at taking enormous amounts of my kid playing with a simple toy.
But guess what. I can take even more with two kids now! lollll
Anyway, the awesome folks over at The Creative Whale sent the girls a box of their marshmallow clay to use and enjoy and have we ever!! It really does feel just like marshmallows and both girls just loved it. There are sooo many colors in the box and they played for hours rolling and mixing it all up.
Also- you can find Miss Mabel’s adorable mint bow over at Emma & Claire!
And that’s all I have for today. See you all next week- have an awesome weekend!
