My Grown Up Makeup Products

  1. Becky says:

What a fun round up. I jumped on the brow filling train a year or two years ago and it makes a huge difference!

    • courtneyspena@gmail.com says:

Such a huge difference! Like I said, I joke with Jim that I’m still mad at everybody for not telling me to start filling them in sooner 😛

  2. Ugh I need to do this, too! I still use the same drugstore brand makeup that I’ve been using since high school. And hello almost 32 years old… time to grow up a bit but I hate spending the money on it!?

  3. Stefanie says:

Love your product roundup! I just started filling in my eyebrows, too. Game changer!!!

  4. Ashley says:

That tiny Naked2 palette is my JAM! I wish they sold “Frisk” as a single!

    • courtneyspena@gmail.com says:

YES! It was kind of an impulse buy as well- but seriously one of the best things I have ever purchased! All of the colors are perfect.

  5. Amie says:

    Yes to eyebrow filling!!!

  6. Love it! I am a no makeup person (I wear mascara only) but I dye my
bleached surfer chick eyebrows and boom! Magic happened.
I did actually splurge one day in Sephora and got an urban decay single pot. Loved it. But I am soooooo cheap.

    • courtneyspena@gmail.com says:

Yes! Dying your brows is a great option- though mine are seriously so so sparse I don’t think even that would help me! ha!

  7. Elizabeth says:

I’ve never filled in my brows but I just started using brow gel (at the recommendation of my esthetician) and I totally love it!

  8. Rose says:

Thank you again for this post, Courtney! I just placed orders with Aveda and Ulta. I’m so excited to overhaul my ridiculously neglected makeup collection.

  9. Trisha says:

Love your makeup round up! I just ordered the foundation you mentioned, I cant wait to try it! I was wondering what you use to apply that? Makeup brush or sponge?

    • courtneyspena@gmail.com says:

Yayy! It comes with a sponge- which is what I use. But you could also use a makeup brush if you want! (though I suppose it depends whether you’re applying wet or dry? I always use mine dry)

  10. That foundation seems great! I use Bare Minerals now, but will have to keep that in mind. I’ve also never tried Bare Minerals Blush so thanks for that tip. I’m definitely pro filling in your eye brows. It makes such a huge difference. I don’t know what took me so long to get on board with doing it. I love those make up remover wipes. Have you tried the Target brand? They’re good, too. I’m slowly, but surely, upgrading my make up and hair care products since it seems like the grown up thing to do 🙂

    • courtneyspena@gmail.com says:

I think I might try the target brand of the makeup remover wipes whenever I run out of these just to see how they compare!
