Finn turned 17 months old on the 15th!! I can’t believe we are almost to 18….which is the downhill slide to TWO. What is even happening.
Finn continues to be the sweetest, happiest, silliest, snuggliest little guy around. He loves to be held, but also loves to get down and play. He is so friendly and silly and charming. We all absolutely adore him and he is definitely not short on love, affection, or lots and lots of attention in this house!
On to what Finn has been up to this month!
Size: He clocked in at 25 lbs at his follow up appointment for his hospital stay a week or two ago, but they didn’t measure how long he was. He is still wearing 24m/2T clothes, size 5 shoes, size 6 diapers and is eating enough to graduate to the next size soon- I’m sure!
Eating: Loves himself some snackage- puffs and goldfish are his jam (just like Mabel!) He loves eggs, sausage, breads, peanut butter, chicken, and pickles. If he sets his mind to it, he can PUT AWAY some food. Other days, he barely nibbles and is just fine too. Fortunately, it is never a battle. It just is what it is. We’re thankful for such a happy and healthy little guy!
Sleep: Just this month we have dropped his morning nap. He was taking it, but would take forever to fall asleep- and then would sleep a long time- and then not be able to take an afternoon nap. which was too long of a stretch until bedtime. So, we stayed busy for a few days running errands and such and then he transitioned just fine! Now he wakes up around 7/730, lays down in the 12 o’clock hour, gets up around 3, and goes to bed sometime shortly after 7. I love his schedule!
Loves: His pacifiers. Like whoa. Cars and trucks. Balls and playing catch. He has just recently taken to bringing books to read in your lap and I LOVE IT. He also loves to explore, bang my pots and pans, tries to get into the china cabinet, ride his bike, and throws blocks.
Hates: Diaper changes. When he is done eating and is still in his high chair. Being told no (obviously). When the baby gate is closed and he can’t make a way upstairs.
Milestones: Walking! Finally! He will still do his funny Finn on his knees walk, but he is finally regularly taking steps and cruising all around the house like a big boy. Lots more words! He will make animal sounds, he can say all four of our names, and has a few other words- okay, hi, bye, yeah, all gone, hot. He will also wave, sign all done and please.
Looks Like: I see all Abigail, but most everyone says Mabel! That dark head of hair is all Finn though!
